About the Event

We know job seekers have diverse and varying interests, and yet all too often our job development efforts don’t include engaging employers within the building trades. Advancing Employment is thrilled to host Susan Eisenberg, who was among the first women in the country to become a journey-level electrician in union construction. Susan is also a poet, author, visual artist, oral historian, and policy analyst. She is the author of: We’ll Call You If We Need You: Experiences of Women Working Construction. She is a Resident Artist/Scholar at the Brandeis Women’s Studies Research Center. Susan will discuss her creative efforts, including her experiences with working within the trades, offering advice and tips for us all!
